MEMBERSHIP DUES
Your 2005 membership fees are due. Any members that have not renewed their membership prior to June 20 will have their
names deleted from the Chamber web site.
VISITOR INFO CENTRE OPENS
The Pemberton Visitor Info Centre opened for the 2005 season on May 9. Staffing the VIC this year is VIC Counsellor Laura
Rolandi and Assistant Visitor Info Counsellor Keita Selina. The VIC is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. until Sept.
30th.
Due to the lack of funding, only the two above college students are being hired. The HRDC grant this year was cut for Pemberton
to only half the number of weeks applied for, a reduced work week and for only one student - not two that we applied for.
The VIC will use funds received from Tourism BC, the SLRD and Chamber funds to keep the Centre open. Hopefully funds will
allow for the VIC to remain open in September.
