Citizen & Business Person of the Year Nominations
The Pemberton & District Chamber of Commerce is soliciting nominations from the communities of Pemberton, Mount.Currie,
Birken and D’Arcy for the 2006 Business Person(s) and Citizen(s) of the Year awards. The following is the criteria for:
The Business Person(s) of the Year Award
A business person or partners who operate a business located within the area represented by the Pemberton & District Chamber
of Commerce including the communities of Pemberton, Mount Currie, Birken and D’Arcy and who provide excellent customer
service and promote the growth and development of the business community.
The Citizen(s) of the Year Award
A citizen or a group of citizens who volunteers his/her time for the betterment of the community.
To nominate please state the reasons for your nomination(s) with pertinent information about your nominee(s) and submit

Presentations of these awards will be made at the Chamber’s Annual Christmas Dinner and Awards night on Thursday, December

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games is hosting this event. Join them for
presentations on Games planning, venue construction, sport test events and more.

Time: 5:30 – 7 p.m. Expo; 7-9 p.m. Presentation by Dolly Hopkins on Community Celebrations
Photo Calendar – If you have any photos of your event/festival/celebration please drop them off in an envelope marked with
the details of your group, the date of the event and your contact details to Linda at the Pemberton Community Centre by
Nov. 22. Linda is designing a pictorial calendar of a year in the life of Pemberton events and festivals.
ADMISSION – FREE Residents are encouraged to bring along a non-perishable item to donate to the Pemberton Food Bank.

VILLAGE COUNCIL AGENDAS
The Village of Pemberton has been endeavouring to have their full Council Agenda available on their website
www.pemberton.ca the Friday prior to Council Meetings. Due to technical difficulties
they are currently unable to post the entire agenda package however the Agenda cover will be posted . If anyone is interested
in receiving an electronic version in can be emailed in three sections.

Once again the Chamber will be hosting a Christmas in the Park.
