CHAMBER LUNCHEON
The next Chamber Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 12 noon at the Royal Canadian legion BR. #201. The
guest speaker will be announced shortly.
TAX REMITTANCE EXTENSION
Rick Thrope, Minister of Small Business and Revenue and Minister Responsible for Regulatory reform has announced that effective
April 1,2007 British Columbia will give businesses eight more days to remit tax returns and payments of provincial sales
tax and hotel room tax. The date has been moved to the 23rd of the month from the 15th.
SMALL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The BC Chamber of Commerce, as the leading voice of small and medium sized business in B.C., has developed an educational
program designed for growing businesses in today’s competitive environment. In co-operation with the university of Phoenix
with the support of Bell, the Small business Certificate Program is a series of seven distinct modules focusing on key
areas of business development including; Customer Service, financial management, Sales management, Project management,
Risk taking, Recruitment and Delegation. Take the modules in compact 4-hour sessions face –to-face or online to fit into
your busy program schedule. The certificate program is deal for business owners as well as managers looking to acquire
the skills necessary to grow their business. All 7 modules are $1195 plus GST. For further information - email

HELLO BC LISTINGS PROGRAM
Hello BC is making it easier for you to connect with potential customers. Their listing program has been enhanced to include
tourism businesses, activities, attractions, events and transportation. For more information on this program visit
www.tourismbc.net for program details. Festivals and events will
be permitted to list up to four festivals and or/events annually for free.
