Chamber Receives Grant for “SHOP LOCAL” Initiative

We are excited to share that the Pemberton + District Chamber of Commerce has received grant funding to expand our shop local efforts from the Government of Canada’s Strategic Activities Program, administered by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry and delivered through the BC Chamber of Commerce. The funding will enable us to amplify our Love Pemberton, Buy Local efforts from now to mid-February with the goal of driving revenue to local businesses in our area.

We are quickly gearing up with a mailer, more stickers, point of purchase materials, signage and prizing.  As part of the funding we have budget to purchase gift cards/gift certificates to use as prizes. If you are interested in having a gift card from your business be purchased as a prize reach out to us at info@pembertonchamber.com before December 15th.

Show Your Love
To help you share the buy local love, we also have a tool kit where you can download our “Locally Owned” badge and “Love Pemberton, Buy Local” social media tiles for use on your website and social media pages. Plus, look for, comment and share our social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Know Any Outgoing Students? 
We are also working on getting some youth ambassadors hired to help generate more energy and excitement around buying local. If you know any outgoing high school youth that are looking to earn some extra money with a fun, temporary position, have them reach out to us at info@pembertonchamber.com before Dec 12th.
