About Us: Spel'kúmtn Community Forest is a forestry partnership between the Líĺwat Nation and the Village of Pemberton. The tenure area surrounds the communities of Mount Currie and Pemberton and is managed according to shared community values: Community Relationships, Social Responsibility, Economic Viability, Giving Back to the Community, Environmental Stewardship, Wildlife Conservation and Habitat Enhancement, Watershed Protection, Culture, Outdoor Lifestyle, Connection between Land and People, Connection to Nature and Recreation. The vision of the Spel'kúmtn Community Forest is to further reconciliation and strengthen relationships between the partnering communities of Líl’wat Nation and Village of Pemberton through connection to the land, good stewardship and economic opportunity.
