Pemberton Valley including Area C

The Pemberton Valley includes the Village of Pemberton and Electoral Area C of the Squamish – Lillooet District and the Mount Currie community. Area C includes the communities from Mount Currie to Birken and D’Arcy. Also included is the Pemberton Meadows area to the northwest of Pemberton.

A Fast Growing, Progressive Community

As the fastest growing community in BC (BC Statistics, 2005) the Village of Pemberton has seen many changes in a short period of time. Agriculture and forestry are still important aspects of the local economy, but tourism and its related services employ the highest percentage of residents: accommodation and food services at 24.3%, followed by arts, entertainment and recreation at 13.3%, and retail trade, also representing 13.3% of the total labour force (2001 Census). Comparatively, forestry and logging employs 1.8% of Village residents. The Village encompasses an area of approximately six (6) square kilometers.

Ample Outdoor Recreation

Pemberton Valley is a mecca for outdoor recreation. The Valley hosts two golf courses, an airport, over a 100 trails and is truly YOUR GATEWAY TO ADVENTURE.

Clean & Pristine Mountain Environment

Pemberton is surrounded by majestic mountains, endless fields, forest, lakes and rivers that leave visitors of our area in awe. Three Provincial Parks are bordering the Valley: Joffre, Nairn Falls and Garibaldi Provincial Park.
